Vishay has introduced a new surface-mount Power Metal Strip resistor with a wide-side terminal structure that can produce a high power rating of 1W in a compact 0612 case size. WSL0612 combines high power ratio, extremely low resistance value (as low as 0.001ohm) and stable resistance tolerance (to 1%).
The advanced construction of the WSL0612 resistor combines solid metal nickel-chromium alloy resistance elements with low TCR (<20ppm / C). This results in a 0612 package size high-power resistor that maintains the excellent electrical characteristics of the Power Metal Strip structure. The small size of the device can be used to design high-power circuits that have minimal resistance and can be used in high-performance end products.
