Vishay's latest product is a series of new thin, high-current power inductors with iron powder cores that can provide high saturation currents up to 5.8A. The Vishay Dale IHHP series of equipment reduces costs and saves board space in computer, consumer and telecommunications applications, and offers two miniature housings of 2mm x 1.6mm 0806 and 2.5mm x 2mm 1008. There are 1mm and 1.2mm thin type.
With their high current performance and small size, these devices are optimized for DC-DC converters and power modules in notebook PCs, mobile phones, hard drives, SSDs, DVCs and DSCs. Magnetic alloy power inductors have low acoustic noise and provide magnetic shielding to prevent interference with nearby components.
IHHP-0806AZ-01, IHHP-0806AB-01, IHHP-1008AZ-01 and IHHP-1008AB-01 have high efficiency, the maximum DCR is as low as 15mohm, and the inductance value ranges from 0.22µH to 10µH. These devices provide a rated thermal current of up to 5.3A and operate in a temperature range of -55C to + 125C. The device is packaged in a 100% lead-free (Pb) shielding structure that meets RoHS requirements.
