Selig now offers a powerful data logger for automotive applications, the X2E XORAYA N4000, that can simultaneously record data from multiple bus systems at rates up to 3Gbit/s. Each logger offers 20 x HS-CAN/CAN FD, 8 x RS-232, 2 x FlexRay, and 8 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The recorder has an SFP+ interface for 10GBase-T and is packaged in a rugged, hermetically sealed housing and active cooling system. The device has three slots for plug-in card options that provide flexible configuration options for data loggers, allowing assembly or modification according to different customer needs. In addition, an additional board is provided to equip a 24 × LIN connected data logger. In this way, data loggers can quickly and efficiently adapt to changing test conditions and changing project requirements.
The built-in ultracapacitor unit Bridges any power fluctuations and provides the ability to turn off the logger safely during a power failure. The data logger supports X2E's own DLN and PLP to accommodate the various probes of the logger. Optional modules include LS-CAN, HS-CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, RS-232, LIN, Ethernet, 100/1000BASE-T1 (OABR), PSI5 and analog signal input. Support for other bus systems is also possible for special needs. All data is recorded with an accurate central timestamp at a resolution of 100ns, stored on internal SSDS, or transmitted over Ethernet to external computer systems or XORAYA external storage units.
The new device is the successor to the XORAYA Z7 and is based on the Zynq Ultra-Scale+ quad-core ARM Cortex-A53, which is widely used by European carmakers. The built-in Xilinx FPGA and RAM can be swapped to further improve performance, leading to more powerful FPGA modules. The SSD internal memory can be expanded from the standard 240GB to 1TB. Other customer-specific solutions are also available, ranging from unique cable sets to customized mounts for test vehicles. The software provided includes the logging operating system (embedded Linux), the XORAYA suite, and the XORAYA SDK.
