Ultrasound imaging is a fairly new technology that provides valuable assistance to industrial enterprises, maximizing uptime, efficiency and safety. So the RS module now provides a new type of ultrasound imaging camera from forward-looking infrared. The main application areas of ultrasound imaging are the detection of compressed air discharges or leaks, and discharge and condition monitoring in the power generation sector.
The FLIR Si124 provides intelligent analysis to automatically identify air leaks in compressor systems and partial discharges in high-voltage electrical systems. The built-in analytical capabilities make the device very intuitive and straightforward to use, suggesting that extensive training is not required. The user automatically detects and analyzes discharge effects or quantifies air leakage loss rates and costs through algorithms throughout the detection process.
The device is lightweight, requires only one hand to use, and offers a long-life battery that provides up to seven hours of contactless operation. The integration of functions brings users low fatigue and safe all-day scanning.
The device senses, displays, and records sound waves from 2kHz to 31kHz through a 124 x 124 microphone array. And it's a very efficient device that can detect compressed air leaks 10 times faster, using ultrasound imaging instead of traditional methods. Another key feature of the device is its onboard storage capability and connection to the cloud to provide real-time quantization and reporting.
The device is available in three models: SI124-PD for power utility applications. Si124-ld is designed for leak detection applications; And Si124 for detecting compressed air leaks and partial discharges.
