Binder 670 series compact and highly flexible circular connectors resist demanding protection requirements. They were judged to be particularly innovative and are currently awarded a silver medal at the LEAP Award 2021.
Due to the unique design features, the highly flexible, space-saving ultra-compact connector can achieve IP54 protection when mismatched when IP67. Thus, they are respectively resistant to physical contact, dust and splashing water (IP54, unpaired) and dust and protection from temporary inundation (IP67).
This feature is valuable, for example, in testing and measurement where installation space is limited and special needs need protection from environmental impacts, as well as in medical applications. Other applications include temperature analysis instruments, lighting, signage and equipment for flushing the environment.
All series are contained in a plastic case with a diameter of 16mm. Five-pin NCC connector with gold-plated contact rated current 2A, rated voltage 50V. Their bayonet locks provide a stable connection. Therefore, resistant to vibration and shock, they operate reliably at temperatures from -25C to +85C. The cable outlet diameter is 3mm to 5mm, and the wire gauge is 0.25mm2 (AWG 24).
For identification and organization tasks, both male and female panel mounting connectors are available in different housing colors. All product versions offer solder termination and panel mounted variants offer dip termination. The series is mainly used for frequent copulation and withdrawal, with copulation cycles up to more than 1000 times.
