Whether it's capturing video, aggregating sensor data, or designing for mobile or iot applications, Efinix's Titanium Ti180 M484 development kit provides everything you need to get started quickly. The suite showcases the Ti180's hardened MIPI D-PHY, which supports up to 2.5 Gbps per channel, and hardened LPDDR4/4x controller for fast external FPGA frame buffering.
With this kit, connecting to the various camera modules becomes very simple, as there are multiple child cards. The kit includes a Raspberry Pi V2 camera that can be used to transfer video and store data at speeds of up to 2 Gbps in 256 MBit LPDDR4X of the development board. The kit also includes two additional daughter cards, the IMX477 camera connector, which is compatible with the 22-pin ribbon cable used by the Arducam Raspberry Pi camera module. By connecting to these camera modules, video data from the 12.3 megapixel IMX477 sensor and camera module can be processed (IMX477- not included in the camera module itself). The development kit also features two Macronix high performance 256 Mb SPI NOR flash memory chips, so users can store other data such as RISC-V software. Ethernet and HDMI output subcards are included, so users can process data in the FPGA and send it to a display or other system. The Ti180 development board also includes an FMC connector (FPGA mezzanine card) that allows connectivity to other IO cards in the ecosystem. The FMC connector enables users to create a proof-of-concept system that best meets their needs.
All of these capabilities are included in the highest performance, lowest power consumption, and least packaging parts of any other FPGA solution. With the purchase of the Titanium development kit, registered users can log on to the Efinix website to download Efinity software for one year (including updates and upgrades). Efinity software provides a complete tool flow from RTL design to bitstream generation, including synthesis, placement and routing, timing analysis, and hardware debugger with logic analyzer. It has a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides a visual way to set up projects, run tool streams, and view results. The software also features a command line stream and a TCL command console. The software-generated bitstream file is used to configure Titanium FPgas with custom designs on the development board.
