The PTH03050 is one of Texas Instruments' smallest non-isolated power modules with Auto-Track™ capability. Auto-Track simplifies the sequence of power supply voltages in the power system, enabling modules to track each other or any other external voltage during power-on and power-off. Although small in size (0.87 "x 0.5"), these modules are rated for up to 6a output currents, making them ideal for applications where space, performance, and power-on sorting ability are important attributes.
Standard application program
The product provides high performance step-down conversion from 3.3v input bus voltage. The output voltage of the PTH03050W can be set to any voltage range, from 0.8V to 2.5V, using a single resistor. Other operating features include on/off suppression, output voltage regulation (trimming) and output overcurrent protection.

For efficiency, these components have a synchronous rectified output stage, but a pre-offset delay capability ensures that the output does not sink current during startup. Targeted applications include telecommunications, industrial, and general purpose circuits, including low-power dual-voltage systems using DSPS, microprocessors, ASics, or FPGas. Packaging options include through-hole and surface mount configurations.
