Texas Instruments TPS624xx-Q1 series devices are synchronous dual step-down DC-DC converters for automotive applications such as ADAS. They provide two independent output voltage rails powered by standard 3.3V or 5V rails, and their fixed output voltages are optimized to power a CMOS imager or serializer / deserializer in an ADAS camera module.
The EasyScale serial interface allows the output voltage to be modified during operation. The fixed output voltage version supports simple dynamic voltage scaling for single-pin control of low-power processors.
This series of devices operate at a fixed switching frequency of 2.25MHz and turn on power saving mode operation at light load current to maintain high efficiency over the entire load current range. For low noise applications, the user can force the device into fixed frequency PWM mode by pulling the MODE / DATA pin high. Shutdown mode reduces current consumption to 1.2μA (typical). The device can use small inductors and capacitors to provide a smaller solution size.
