ProTek Devices has introduced a range of high-power surface-mounted transient voltage suppressors that provide circuit protection in many industrial applications. These applications include relay drives, motor turn-off magnetic field protection, module lightning protection, and secondary lightning protection in AC/DC applications.
The SM30KWExxA/CA series consists of a number of TVS modules with rated isolation voltages ranging from 16V to 78V. Components are supplied to standard, RTCA DO-160G. They also have waveforms (pin injection) three and four and five; Waveform 5A-4. Other features include low clamp voltage and peak pulse power of 30kW per line (typical = 10/1000 microseconds).
All products comply with RoHS and REACH standards. They also provide engineers with unidirectional and bidirectional configuration capabilities and are easy to install on PCBS.
The series has an flammability rating of UL 94V-0 and uses 24mm tape and reels provided under EIA Standard 481 with a minimum quantity of 1000. The TVS module weighs only 1.2 gigabytes. The component mounts the package on a molded surface. Other mechanical and packaging characteristics include operating and storage temperatures from -55℃ to 150℃. Packaging is lead free 100% tin plated. The element is operated at 260℃ reflow for 10 seconds.
