Sharp's Memory LCD technology provides high-contrast, high-resolution displays with higher content density than many other types of LCDs of the same size.
The LCD module embeds a 1-bit memory in each pixel, so that each pixel can maintain the state, and the current required is small. This allows the image to be displayed on the monitor with very little power (requiring only one power supply voltage), even when updating the image. This helps designers design products with extra long battery life. Since only the parts of the image that need to be updated are changed, it also eliminates scanned images or "ghosting". The response time of Sharp's Memory LCD makes it fast enough to display dynamic video. The high-resolution and small-diagonal diagonal display shows a clear, thick black image.
