The ISL97519 is a high frequency, high efficiency booster regulator operating in constant frequency PWM mode. It is packaged with 8 Ld MSOP and has a maximum height of 1.1mm. The operating temperature range of the device is -40°C to +105°C. The built-in 2.0 A, 200 mΩ MOSFET, can provide up to 1 A output current, efficiency of more than 90%.
Block Diagram
The optional 600kHz and 1.2MHz allow for smaller inductance and faster transient response. External compensation pins give the user greater flexibility in setting frequency compensation, allowing the use of low ESR ceramic output capacitors. When closed, it draws. 1µA current, can work to 2.3V input power supply. These features, as well as the 1.2MHz switching frequency, make it ideal for portable devices and TFT-LCD displays.
Pin Configuration
The boost converter stores the energy from the input voltage source and transfers it to a higher output voltage. The input voltage ranges from 2.3V to 5.5V and the output voltage ranges from 5V to 25V. Switching frequencies can be selected between 600kHz and 1.2MHz, allowing smaller inductance and faster transient response. External compensation pins give the user greater flexibility in setting output transient responses and more stringent load regulation. The soft start characteristics of the converter can also be controlled by external CSS capacitors. The EN pin allows the user to turn off the device completely.
