Lumileds' Luxeon series of on-board chip (CoB) white LEDs are designed for directional lights and spotlights, suitable for a wide range of color temperatures, and are ideal for home, hotel and retail environments.
The compact LED has a small light emitting surface (LES) of only 6.5mm, which provides uniform light output. They also have a powerful Center Beam Candle (CBCP) function, which produces a clear beam and high intensity light output, making them ideal for spotlight applications. LUXEON CoB compact LEDs are available in 3 (80CRI and 90CRI) MacAdam ovals. The company also says that they also perform thermal tests under real operating conditions, allowing users to simplify luminaire design because fewer tests are required.
