The XC6221 series is a high precision, low noise, high speed, low differential CMOS voltage regulator with high ripple suppression. The series includes a reference voltage source, an error amplifier, a current limiter, and a phase compensation circuit. CE function makes the whole circuit in standby state by inputting a low level signal.
Typical application circuit
When the XC6221B/D is on standby, the charge at the output capacitor (CL) is discharged through the internal automatic discharge switch, and the VOUT pin quickly returns to the VSS level. Output stabilization capacitors (CL) are also compatible with low ESR ceramic capacitors.
Typical performance characteristic
The output voltage ranges from 0.80V to 5.00V, 0.05V increments can be selected, and factory set laser trimming technology is used. The current limiter's retraction circuit also acts as a short circuit protector and output current limiter at the output pin. The series has fast response speed and low power consumption of only 25μA. In addition, the series has low voltage characteristics, with a voltage drop of 80mV at IOUT=100mA and VOUT=3.0V. By using small USP-4 and ultra-small USPN-4 packages, circuits with small footprint can be designed.
