For harsh environments, the BED series door enclosures produced by BCL provide special protection for electrical and electronic devices. This high-quality range of enclosures is made of grey RAL 7035 ABS-hb material and has ABS solid doors or polycarbonate clear doors that allow visual inspection of contents, meter readings, etc.
These enclosures are IP65 rated and protect their contents from solid particles, including dust or dirt, and against low pressure water jets from any direction. There are 16 models to choose from, from the smallest BED001, measuring 130mm x 200mm x 300mm, to the largest, the BED020, measuring a generous 250mm x 50mm x 700mm.
In addition to offering IP65 protection, these rugged enclosures are rated IK08 for mechanical shock, indicating they can withstand a 1.7kg drop from a height of 300mm, protecting against common accidental blows and dropped objects, plus it's a commonly used , which is used to indicate a certain degree of resistance to vandalism. The enclosure comes with a galvanized steel backplate and mounting bracket, plus a key lock (BED001 and BED011) or two keys (all other sizes), providing everything an installer needs.
