A high-current motor connector designed for use in rail vehicles, which was originally developed for the tram project in Vienna.
In
this project, the design brief required the connector to be installed
in a narrow gap of approximately 8 cm between the carriage body and the bogie.
As the number of electrical components increases, space is a problem for rail vehicle manufacturers.
