Freescale Semiconductor's new S12ZVC MagniVT mixed-signal microcontroller. The S12ZVC 16-bit MCU is based on a 32MHz S12Z core with 192 KB of flash memory, 12 KB of RAM, 2 KB of EPROM, integrated CAN physical layer, 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), 8-bit DAC, and more. S12ZVC supports many automotive and industrial communication protocols, including SENT, MSCAN and LIN. The highly integrated mixed-signal microcontroller includes a 12V regulator, analog peripherals, and automotive / industrial serial protocols on a single chip. S12ZVC is based on a high-performance 16-bit kernel, which includes a 32-bit ALU and a 24-bit address space. The integrated CAN physical layer has high EMI immunity and 8 kV ESD resistance, providing reliable operation in harsh environments. 16-channel 12-bit ADC and a single 8-bit 5 V digital-to-analog converter (DAC) provide analog signal capture and generation.
