Strg328s digital controller is used for power conversion of STC/HSTC open-loop resonant converter. The device implements power conversion from a typical input voltage of 40V ~ 60V to an output voltage with a programmable conversion ratio of 2:1 ~ 10:1, a fixed duty cycle, and a programmable frequency of 140kHz ~ 300kHz.
The controller supports output power of 500W to 2KW and is extremely efficient over a wide load range, with peak efficiency up to 98.4%.
The state machine Event Driver (SMED) implements key features that provide all STC/HSTC control functions. SMED drives ZCD functionality that allows management of dead zone times and switching frequencies to achieve perfect LC resonance and maximum efficiency, independent of changes in external components.
The device firmware is specifically designed to program SMED and implement control policies.
The device is combined with the STPRDC02A door driver (created for STC applications) and a hot plug circuit (usually an electronic fuse) to avoid damage during input 48V bus hot plug.
