Bel Fuse-Circuit Protection has released their latest axial lead battery with PTC fuses: 0ZSA and 0ZSC series. The device is intended for use in rechargeable batteries, lithium batteries and battery packs. These fuses can be mixed for use in, for example, battery packs for computers, mobile radios, mobile phones, cordless phones, camcorders, PDAs and power tools.
These low-resistance, low-profile, solid-state resettable PTC fuses are resistance-soldered to the battery cell or battery pack interconnect strip. Other features include 1.1-7.3A operating (high holding current) range and a maximum voltage of 12V-30VDC. These fuses have been inspected for use in safety circuits and are suitable for use as restraints with nickel-plated strips (terminals that can be soldered to battery leads). They were also calibrated to ANSI / NFPA 70 "National Electrical Code" to limit the current to 8A in 5 seconds. The company's fuses carry the cURus certification mark in the United States and Canada, and are TUV certified (R50105187), RoHS 2 certified, lead-free and halogen-free.
