Avago's 5MBd digital optocoupler. This series is designed for lower power consumption and lower supply voltage applications, such as motor control or computer peripheral interfaces. ACPL-x2xL devices consume less than 10mW without affecting signal isolation or integrity.
Performance is guaranteed over a wide temperature range of -40C to 105C, making this device ideal for industrial applications. Other applications include microprocessor system interfaces, high-speed line receivers, power control systems, ground loop cancellation, and isolation of high-speed logic systems.
The 5MBd optocoupler has a minimum input drive current of 1.6mA, a maximum power supply current of 1.1mA, a low power supply voltage of 3.3V, and a CMOS output. Compared with traditional 5MBd digital optocouplers and traditional 5MBd digital optocouplers, Power consumption can be reduced by up to 80%.
With its improved performance, such as low supply current, low LED input current, low supply voltage, higher CMR, and wider temperature range, the ACPL-x2xL digital optocoupler can be used for low voltage (2.5V / 3.3V / 5V ) Supply voltage, the company said.
