Analog Devices AD9152 is a dual-channel, 16-bit TxDAC + digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a maximum sample rate of 2.25GSPS, which can generate multi-carrier signals up to the Nyquist frequency.
The AD9152's DAC output is optimized to interface seamlessly with Analog Devices' ADRF6720 analog quadrature modulator (AQM). Optional 3- or 4-wire serial port interface (SPI) allows programming / reading of many internal parameters. Designers can program full-scale output currents from 4mA to 20mA. Programmable transmit enable allows easy design balance between power consumption and wake-up time.
The AD9152's advanced low spurious and distortion design techniques provide high-quality synthesis of wideband signals from baseband to high-IF. The AD9152 has a small package size and ultra-wide signal bandwidth, making it ideal for emerging broadband and multi-band wireless applications, including multi-carrier LTE / GSM base stations, broadband repeaters, software-defined radios, point-to-point microwave radios, LMDS / MMSD, and transmission Diversity, Multiple Input / Multiple Output (MIMO), instrumentation and automated test equipment. Evaluation boards are also available.
