Smaller 0.5mm pitch and lower 2.25mm height profile-M.2 connectors can support storage SSD and wireless applications that require smaller single-profile module solutions, which can replace PCIe, Micro SATA, SAS USB, Display Port and other variants.
The M.2 connector is designed for single-sided and double-sided modules, has a faster date rate, and can support PCI Express 3.0, SATA 3.0, or USB 3.0 interfaces.
