Indium Has expanded its manufacturing capabilities to include fine diameter 0.004 "(0.1mm) flux core wires made from preferred lead-free alloys to help customers meet the increasingly demanding demands of fine-pitch applications.

Skilled operators can use the new fine diameter wire for manual welding and rework. The product is designed to provide customers with a fine line solution to the problem of increased solder spot density and miniaturization in solder paste reflow soldering and other soldering applications where soldering methods are ineffective. Includes robot welding widgets for small pitch connections to medical devices or small pitch PCB components.

Recommended flux for this new fine diameter is its Core 230-RC, a low splash wire that shows excellent performance in robotic welding applications, and CW807, a flux Core wire with significant residue for general electronic welding.

Fine diameter wire can be used for SAC305, SAC387, SN96.5AG3.5, SN96.3AG3.7 and Sn96Ag4 alloys. Alternative lead-free alloys can be discussed.
