RT8015B is an efficient synchronous step-down DC/DC converter. Available in the WDFN-10L 3x3 and SOP8(Exposed Pad) packs. It has an input voltage range of 2.6V to 5.5V and offers adjustable output voltages of 0.8V to 5V, while providing output currents up to 3A. Internal synchronous low resistance power switches increase efficiency and eliminate the need for external Schottky diodes.
Typical application circuit
The switching frequency is set by an external resistor. The 100% duty cycle provides low power down operation, extending the battery life of portable systems. Current-mode operation with external compensation allows optimization of transient response over a wide range of loads and output capacitors.
Functional block diagram
The RT8015B operates in forced continuous PWM mode to minimize ripple voltage and reduce noise and RF interference. 100% duty cycle further maximizes battery life in low power off operation.
